# StrymTV vs IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Smart Player at 4.6 against StrymTV's 3.5. IPTV Smart Player also leads on ratings volume (26K vs 13) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). StrymTV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Smart Player sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. StrymTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

IPTV Smart Player holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smart Player has 26K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of StrymTV's written reviews are positive against 48% of IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StrymTV ships an update every 5 months, IPTV Smart Player monthly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
