# Opal vs LOCKD

The clearest difference is update cadence: Opal at every 5 days against LOCKD's every 3 months. Opal also leads on chart position (#51 vs unranked). LOCKD's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Opal sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and LOCKD sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
