# Translator vs Hi Assistant

The clearest difference is rating: Translator at 4.5 against Hi Assistant's 3.3. Translator also leads on review sentiment (56% vs 30%) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 27). Hi Assistant's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Translator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Hi Assistant sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator has 1.6K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Translator's written reviews are positive against 30% of Hi Assistant's.

Translator ships an update every 6 weeks, Hi Assistant every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
