# Calo vs Sahl

The clearest difference is rating: Calo at 4.7 against Sahl's 4.0. Calo also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 14). Sahl's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (75% vs 52%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Calo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calo has 1.7K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Calo's written reviews are positive against 75% of Sahl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calo ships an update every 5 days, Sahl monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
