# IrenYou vs CieID

The clearest difference is monetization model: CieID at free against IrenYou's free with in-app purchases. CieID also leads on ratings volume (258 vs 14) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). IrenYou's advantage is review sentiment (30% vs 9%) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IrenYou holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CieID has 258 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of IrenYou's written reviews are positive against 9% of CieID's.

IrenYou ships an update every 2 months, CieID monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
