# MaxiVPN vs Ghost VPN

The clearest difference is rating: MaxiVPN at 4.2 against Ghost VPN's 1.0. MaxiVPN also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxiVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and Ghost VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaxiVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MaxiVPN has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
