# SaneBox vs Trimbox

The clearest difference is update cadence: Trimbox at every 9 days against SaneBox's every 3 weeks. Trimbox also leads on ratings volume (6K vs 652). SaneBox's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 52%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SaneBox sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Trimbox sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.19 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SaneBox against 4.7 for Trimbox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trimbox has 6K ratings behind it against 652, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of SaneBox's written reviews are positive against 52% of Trimbox's.

SaneBox ships an update every 3 weeks, Trimbox every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
