# TimeCount vs RipGuard

The clearest difference is update cadence: TimeCount at weekly against RipGuard's every 2 months. TimeCount also leads on ratings volume (24K vs 3). RipGuard's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeCount sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and RipGuard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RipGuard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeCount has 24K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TimeCount ships an update weekly, RipGuard every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
