# TimeCount vs Paruu

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Paruu at none against TimeCount's 8. Paruu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). TimeCount's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeCount sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Paruu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Paruu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeCount has 25K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TimeCount ships an update every 9 days, Paruu every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
