# Smart Tasks vs Daily Planner

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Smart Tasks at 4.5K against Daily Planner's 5. Smart Tasks also leads on device support (4 vs 1). Daily Planner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Tasks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Daily Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daily Planner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Tasks has 4.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Smart Tasks's written reviews are positive against 100% of Daily Planner's.

Smart Tasks ships an update fortnightly, Daily Planner every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
