# Tot Pocket vs Kagi Assistant

The clearest difference is monetization model: Kagi Assistant at free against Tot Pocket's free with in-app purchases. Kagi Assistant also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). Tot Pocket's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 54%) and ratings volume (238 vs 42). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tot Pocket sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Kagi Assistant sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $28.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kagi Assistant holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tot Pocket has 238 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Tot Pocket's written reviews are positive against 54% of Kagi Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tot Pocket ships an update every 3 weeks, Kagi Assistant every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
