# Protake vs Pocket Log Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Pocket Log Camera at 5.0 against Protake's 4.5. Pocket Log Camera also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Protake's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Protake sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Pocket Log Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pocket Log Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Protake has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Protake ships an update every 2 months, Pocket Log Camera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
