# My PetSafe® vs GT

The clearest difference is review sentiment: My PetSafe® at 59% against GT's 21%. My PetSafe® also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (789 vs 100). GT's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GT holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My PetSafe® has 789 ratings behind it against 100, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of My PetSafe®'s written reviews are positive against 21% of GT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My PetSafe® ships an update fortnightly, GT every 8 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
