# Gataca vs Polygon ID

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Polygon ID at 100% against Gataca's 21%. Polygon ID also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Gataca's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gataca holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Gataca's written reviews are positive against 100% of Polygon ID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gataca ships an update every 5 weeks, Polygon ID every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
