# The Complex vs MoodGame

The clearest difference is update cadence: MoodGame at every 6 weeks against The Complex's every 3 months. The Complex's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Complex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MoodGame sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Complex ships an update every 3 months, MoodGame every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
