# Edgbaston vs Lord's

The clearest difference is monetization model: Edgbaston at free against Lord's's free with in-app purchases. Edgbaston also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Lord's's advantage is ratings volume (126 vs 11). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Edgbaston against 4.7 for Lord's. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lord's has 126 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 15% and 15% positive.

Edgbaston ships an update every 2 weeks, Lord's every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
