# Pattern Art vs Live Wallpaper

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pattern Art at weekly against Live Wallpaper's every 2 months. Pattern Art also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 201). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pattern Art sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Live Wallpaper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Pattern Art against 4.6 for Live Wallpaper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pattern Art has 1.6K ratings behind it against 201, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pattern Art ships an update weekly, Live Wallpaper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
