# Task vs SocialGlow

The clearest difference is rating: Task at 5.0 against SocialGlow's 3.2. Task also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). SocialGlow's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 18 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Task holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SocialGlow has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Task ships an update every 18 months, SocialGlow every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
