# Voice Recorder Plus App vs Iris

The clearest difference is rating: Iris at 3.7 against Voice Recorder Plus App's 3.0. Iris also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 4). Voice Recorder Plus App's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Voice Recorder Plus App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Iris sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Iris holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Voice Recorder Plus App's written reviews are positive against 33% of Iris's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Voice Recorder Plus App ships an update weekly, Iris every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on September 20, 2026.
