# RainPoint vs TX RGB

The clearest difference is rating: RainPoint at 4.6 against TX RGB's 3.0. RainPoint also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). TX RGB's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RainPoint holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RainPoint has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of RainPoint's written reviews are positive against 33% of TX RGB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RainPoint ships an update every 3 months, TX RGB weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
