# CertiPhoto vs ShieldSnap

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShieldSnap at every 2 weeks against CertiPhoto's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CertiPhoto sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and ShieldSnap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CertiPhoto ships an update every 2 months, ShieldSnap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
