# Likey vs Phoning

The clearest difference is rating: Phoning at 4.0 against Likey's 2.4. Phoning also leads on ratings volume (726 vs 62) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Likey's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Likey sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Phoning sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Phoning holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phoning has 726 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Likey's written reviews are positive against 54% of Phoning's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Likey ships an update every 2 weeks, Phoning every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
