# Videoblast 2 vs Thumbnail Maker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Thumbnail Maker at free with in-app purchases against Videoblast 2's subscription. Thumbnail Maker also leads on ads (none vs shown). Videoblast 2's advantage is ratings volume (762 vs 17). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Videoblast 2 sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Thumbnail Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Videoblast 2 against 4.5 for Thumbnail Maker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Videoblast 2 has 762 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.
