# CoverMe vs Ghost

The clearest difference is rating: Ghost at 4.6 against CoverMe's 2.3. Ghost also leads on ratings volume (7.7K vs 3) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). CoverMe's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and in-app purchases (none vs 20). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. CoverMe asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ghost holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost has 7.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of CoverMe's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ghost's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CoverMe ships an update every 6 weeks, Ghost every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
