# MVEC Connect vs BACMeter

The clearest difference is rating: BACMeter at 5.0 against MVEC Connect's 1.9. BACMeter also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). MVEC Connect's advantage is ratings volume (63 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BACMeter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MVEC Connect has 63 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of MVEC Connect's written reviews are positive against 0% of BACMeter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MVEC Connect ships an update every 2 months, BACMeter monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
