# Widget Theme vs Reality Dice

The clearest difference is rating: Reality Dice at 5.0 against Widget Theme's 4.5. Reality Dice also leads on ads (none vs shown). Widget Theme's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widget Theme sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Reality Dice sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reality Dice holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widget Theme has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Widget Theme ships an update monthly, Reality Dice every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
