# Calendar vs Planner

Calendar and Planner both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Calendar's written reviews are positive against 60% of Planner's. Calendar also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Planner sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Calendar against 4.7 for Planner. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 402 and 765 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Calendar's written reviews are positive against 60% of Planner's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
