# CarpeCam vs FormTime

The clearest difference is rating: FormTime at 5.0 against CarpeCam's 4.5. FormTime also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). CarpeCam's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CarpeCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FormTime asks for nothing beyond the download.

FormTime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CarpeCam has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CarpeCam ships an update every 6 months, FormTime every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
