# iBOEING Type Rating Prep vs VRflow DA40

The clearest difference is update cadence: iBOEING Type Rating Prep at every 2 weeks against VRflow DA40's every 9 months. iBOEING Type Rating Prep also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). VRflow DA40's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iBOEING Type Rating Prep sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and VRflow DA40 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VRflow DA40 holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iBOEING Type Rating Prep has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of iBOEING Type Rating Prep's written reviews are positive against 50% of VRflow DA40's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iBOEING Type Rating Prep ships an update every 2 weeks, VRflow DA40 every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on June 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
