# IELTS Prep Master vs IELTS

The clearest difference is update cadence: IELTS at every 2 weeks against IELTS Prep Master's every 4 weeks. IELTS Prep Master's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 7) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS Prep Master sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and IELTS sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for IELTS Prep Master against 4.9 for IELTS. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 7 respectively.

IELTS Prep Master ships an update every 4 weeks, IELTS every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
