# iTrack Location Tracker vs FamSync

iTrack Location Tracker and FamSync both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of iTrack Location Tracker's written reviews are positive against 0% of FamSync's. iTrack Location Tracker also leads on chart position (#183 vs unranked) and ratings volume (919 vs 113). FamSync's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTrack Location Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FamSync sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FamSync holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTrack Location Tracker has 919 ratings behind it against 113, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of iTrack Location Tracker's written reviews are positive against 0% of FamSync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iTrack Location Tracker ships an update every 2 months, FamSync fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
