# VidaFair vs DTR Television

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DTR Television at none against VidaFair's 8. DTR Television also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). VidaFair's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (21 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VidaFair sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. DTR Television asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for VidaFair against 5.0 for DTR Television. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidaFair has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VidaFair ships an update fortnightly, DTR Television every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
