# Disc Golf Network vs Squalla Disc Golf

The clearest difference is monetization model: Squalla Disc Golf at free with in-app purchases against Disc Golf Network's subscription. Squalla Disc Golf also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 45%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Disc Golf Network's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 70) and chart position (#100 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Disc Golf Network sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Squalla Disc Golf sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Disc Golf Network against 4.1 for Squalla Disc Golf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Disc Golf Network has 1.1K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Disc Golf Network's written reviews are positive against 62% of Squalla Disc Golf's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
