# AMEDEX vs OET Sample Tests

The clearest difference is rating: AMEDEX at 5.0 against OET Sample Tests's 4.3. AMEDEX also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0.0). OET Sample Tests's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OET Sample Tests sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. AMEDEX asks for nothing beyond the download.

AMEDEX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OET Sample Tests has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of AMEDEX's written reviews are positive against 40% of OET Sample Tests's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AMEDEX ships an update every 6 months, OET Sample Tests every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
