# Countdown vs RoofSkape

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RoofSkape at none against Countdown's 5. RoofSkape also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (118 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. RoofSkape asks for nothing beyond the download.

RoofSkape holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 118 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown ships an update every 10 days, RoofSkape every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
