# Yuno vs Umi

The clearest difference is ads: Yuno at none against Umi's shown. Yuno also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 2.8K). Umi's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yuno sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Umi sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Yuno against 4.8 for Umi. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yuno has 15K ratings behind it against 2.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 54% and 53% positive.

Yuno ships an update weekly, Umi every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
