# B vs Roll

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: B at none against Roll's 4. B also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Roll's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (818 vs 22). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roll sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $49.00 per month. B asks for nothing beyond the download.

Roll holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roll has 818 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of B's written reviews are positive against 74% of Roll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

B ships an update every 3 days, Roll every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
