# SPRO vs Ambici

The clearest difference is rating: SPRO at 5.0 against Ambici's 3.7. SPRO also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Ambici's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 8%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPRO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of SPRO's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ambici's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SPRO ships an update every 5 months, Ambici monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
