# StrangeCat vs Gradient Palette

The clearest difference is update cadence: StrangeCat at every 3 weeks against Gradient Palette's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StrangeCat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.49 per month and Gradient Palette sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StrangeCat ships an update every 3 weeks, Gradient Palette every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
