# Plexamp vs micVault

The clearest difference is update cadence: micVault at daily against Plexamp's every 2 weeks. micVault also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Plexamp's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plexamp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and micVault sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

micVault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plexamp has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Plexamp's written reviews are positive against 100% of micVault's.

Plexamp ships an update every 2 weeks, micVault daily. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
