# Pace vs CalcuRun

The clearest difference is ads: CalcuRun at none against Pace's shown. CalcuRun also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Pace's advantage is ratings volume (386 vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CalcuRun sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CalcuRun holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pace has 386 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pace ships an update every 6 weeks, CalcuRun every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
