# Pace vs PaceMaster

The clearest difference is ads: PaceMaster at none against Pace's shown. PaceMaster also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.6). Pace's advantage is ratings volume (386 vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PaceMaster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PaceMaster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pace has 386 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pace ships an update every 6 weeks, PaceMaster every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
