# ScentArea vs Art Diffuser

The clearest difference is rating: Art Diffuser at 1.7 against ScentArea's 1.3. ScentArea's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (161 vs 7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Art Diffuser holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScentArea has 161 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of ScentArea's written reviews are positive against 0% of Art Diffuser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScentArea ships an update every 2 weeks, Art Diffuser every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
