# Qixel vs Green screen

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Qixel at 67% against Green screen's 21%. Qixel also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). Green screen's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Qixel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Green screen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Green screen holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Green screen has 1.4K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Qixel's written reviews are positive against 21% of Green screen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Qixel ships an update every 7 months, Green screen every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
