# Qixel vs Stickman

The clearest difference is ads: Stickman at none against Qixel's shown. Stickman also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). Qixel's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Qixel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stickman sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stickman holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stickman has 333 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Qixel's written reviews are positive against 40% of Stickman's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Qixel ships an update every 7 months, Stickman every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
