# SCS Connect(Ed) vs SchoolPass

The clearest difference is rating: SchoolPass at 4.7 against SCS Connect(Ed)'s 3.3. SchoolPass also leads on ratings volume (4.9K vs 20) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). SCS Connect(Ed)'s advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 20%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolPass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolPass has 4.9K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of SCS Connect(Ed)'s written reviews are positive against 20% of SchoolPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SCS Connect(Ed) ships an update every 5 months, SchoolPass monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
