# Allume vs NinoPad

The clearest difference is rating: NinoPad at 5.0 against Allume's 4.6. NinoPad also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Allume's advantage is ratings volume (339 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Allume sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and NinoPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NinoPad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Allume has 339 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Allume ships an update every 2 weeks, NinoPad every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
