# Matter vs PCG Resources

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PCG Resources at none against Matter's 10. PCG Resources also leads on iOS requirement (14 vs 26.0). Matter's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 12). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. PCG Resources asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Matter against 4.7 for PCG Resources. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Matter ships an update weekly, PCG Resources every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
