# SimpliVPN vs CopVPN

The clearest difference is rating: CopVPN at 4.7 against SimpliVPN's 4.4. CopVPN also leads on ratings volume (55 vs 7). SimpliVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpliVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and CopVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CopVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CopVPN has 55 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SimpliVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, CopVPN every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
