# ZeroVPN vs Secure VPN ・ Private Internet

The clearest difference is ads: Secure VPN ・ Private Internet at none against ZeroVPN's shown. Secure VPN ・ Private Internet also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (92% vs 70%). ZeroVPN's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (151 vs 30). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZeroVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Secure VPN ・ Private Internet sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ZeroVPN holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZeroVPN has 151 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of ZeroVPN's written reviews are positive against 92% of Secure VPN ・ Private Internet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ZeroVPN ships an update every 2 months, Secure VPN ・ Private Internet every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
